A total of 1,164 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered between October 13 and 19, down 28.5% compared to the previous week, the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reports on Tuesday.
As many as 327 of the new cases last week were reinfected patients, who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection/another re-infection.
According to the INSP, 10 deaths were reported in people with COVID-19, all of whom had comorbidities.
During the same period, 501 RT-PCR tests and 10,459 rapid antigen tests were performed.
The positivity rate was 10.6%, down 3.8% from the previous week.
