Romanian tennis player Sorana Cirstea qualified for the third round of the WTA 1,000 tournament in Miami (Florida), with total prizes of 9,415,725 dollars, on Friday, after defeating the Czech Linda Noskova, no. 14 seed, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
Cirstea (35 years old, no. 35 WTA) won after almost two hours of play (1 h 56 min).
Sorana Cirstea secured a cheque for 61,865 dollars and 65 WTA points, and in the third round she will face the winner between American Elvina Kalieva and Belgian Elise Mertens.
