The 19 banks enrolled in the IMM (SMEs) Invest Plus programme requested a ceiling of over 21.9 billion lei, which represents an oversubscription degree of 352.67pct, compared to the total ceiling approved for the issuance of guarantees by the National Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (FNGCIMM) within this state aid scheme, told Agerpres.
"Based on the volume of financing they estimate they will grant in 2023, the 19 banks enrolled in the IMM Invest Plus programme requested a total ceiling of 21,947,017,075 lei, thus registering a general degree of oversubscription of 352.67pct, in relation to the total ceiling approved for the issuance of guarantees by the FNGCIMM within the IMM Invest Plus state aid scheme, for the components managed by it, worth 6,223,044,627 lei," a FNGCIMM press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday shows.
The Agro IMM Invest subprogramme attracted the most interest with a degree of oversubscription of 675.14pct for an approved ceiling of 150,046,348 lei.
In 2023, the IMM Invest Romania subprogramme also has the highest value of the allocated ceiling, 4,419,053,530 lei, the registered subscription rate being 331.13pct.
The financial institutions enrolled in the Programme are teh following: Banca Transilvania, ING Bank, BCR, Unicredit Bank, CEC Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, BRD, Eximbank, OTP Bank, First Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Alpha Bank, Procredit Bank, Patria Bank, Libra Internet Bank, Vista Bank Romania, Garanti Bank, Techventures Bank and the Romanian Bank for Credits and Investments.
According to the quoted source, the application of the programme is open, entrepreneurs can register on www.iminvest.ro to benefit from the financing facilities provided by the IMM Invest Plus Programme, the largest public-private partnership in Romania.
The balance of the three years of implementation 2020-2022 of the IMM Invest records over 65,000 guarantees paid, worth over 41 billion lei, which supported loans of over 48 billion lei. As a result of this capital injection into the economy, over a million jobs were saved.
In 2022, approximately 19,000 entrepreneurs accessed the IMM Invest and IMM Invest Plus Programmes, respectively, and obtained loans of over 17 billion lei.
The value of guarantees paid in 2020 represents 28.4pct of the value of all guarantees paid by the FNGCIMM in 18 years of activity between 2002 and 2019. In 2020, the number of paid guarantees doubled compared to the previous year and the increase in value was 349 pct, the IMM INVEST programme having a major contribution to this growth.
