Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared on Wednesday that the best hypothesis for Romania is a stable Government, which must be based on predictable votes, on the coalition's vote.

"The parliamentary groups of the parties in the Chamber of Deputies or the Senate often decide on one topic or another, as they see fit. I believe that Romania needs a stable Government, which must be based on predictable votes, on the coalition's vote. This is the best hypothesis for Romania," Bolojan told a press conference when asked whether after April 20, when the PSD leaves the government, he will rely on the AUR votes in Parliament to support a minority government.

Asked if PSD exits the government he is prepared to resign or lead a minority government, Bolojan said: "I am the Prime Minister of Romania, I have a responsibility in this capacity and I do what is in my power to honor this responsibility in the service of our country".

"The best situation for Romania, in this period, is to have a Government that is based on a stable parliamentary majority. Any other working hypotheses, of course, can be discussed hypothetically, but they are not the best solutions for Romania", the Prime Minister added.

Asked, in turn, if he is prepared to resign if the party asks him to, Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan replied: "At the moment, I have not become a minister, like any colleague in the Romanian Government, on an individual basis, but we were supported by a team we are part of and by the vote of the Romanians. Therefore, if the 5,000 colleagues decide on a certain direction for the party, I will decide accordingly together with my colleagues, as I will not make a discordant note towards the team."
