Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday, as he was in Washington DC to attend a NATO anniversary summit, did not want to comment on the candidates in the race for the U.S. presidency, but said that he does not believe that the transatlantic relationship will change.
"I wouldn't comment on the race for the U.S. presidency or the candidates, because it's not proper to do so. But I am convinced that the Americans will elect a president who will represent them. I don't think the transatlantic relationship will change, just as I don't think there will be worrying effects for NATO," said Iohannis.
