President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday told the young magistrates welcomed at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace that he is "fully supporting" them in accomplishing their mission.

"You are in the first line of defence of the fundamental principles any authentic rule of law is strengthening on. You should under no circumstances forget that the good evolution of the Justice in Romania relies on your strength of character, too," Iohannis stressed.

The president told the young prosecutors and justices that they are not alone.
"I reassert my full support for your mission's accomplishment. With us are the Romanians who have shown their backing for an independent, fair justice, for a society where corruption is combated and nobody is above the law," Iohannis emphasised.

The president received the graduates of the National Institute of Magistracy (INM), an event attended among others by the Justice Minister, Tudorel Toader, the President of the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR), Valer Dorneanu, the Prosecutor General of Romania, Augustin Lazar, the head of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM), Simona Marcu and the President of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ, Supreme Court, ed. n.), Cristina Tarcea.
