The Iranian film "My Favorite Cake" directed by Maryam Moghadam and Behtash Sanaeeha will be presented in the national premiere, in Romania, on Sunday, during the closing evening of the 20th edition of the Bucharest International Film Festival - BIFF, inform the organizers in a statement sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
On the same evening, the BIFF Awards Gala will take place, at which the outstanding films entered in this year's competition will be awarded. During the same event, the renowned French director of Romanian origin Radu Mihaileanu will receive the BIFF 2024 Excellence Award - XX edition.
The honorary president of the BIFF XX anniversary edition is the film critic Irina-Margareta Nistor, and the BIFF 2024 International Jury was formed by Canadian director and screenwriter Philippe Lesage, president, Paul Cozighian, French-Romanian independent director and journalist, actress Ana Ularu, director , screenwriter and actor Valeriu Andriuta and Lithuanian film producer Marija Razgute.

BIFF is the only international film festival in Bucharest that has a documentary and historical film section to honor the King Michael Centenary in 2021, 100 years after his birth, initiated by Dan Draghicescu.
