President Klaus Iohannis on Friday promulgated the Law on supplementation of the Law no. 319/2003 regarding the Status of the research and development staff, informed the Presidential Administration in a release.
On February 28, the Deputies Chamber adopted the law on the establishment of the same standard retirement age for the personnel in this sector of activity, at 65.
"The retirement age for the personnel working in the research and development sector is 65 years old, for both women and men," says the law, initiated by Deputy Varujan Pambuccian.
Moreover, according to another paragraph, by exception to this provision, the research and development staff can also retire under the terms stipulated by law no. 263/2010 regarding the unitary public pension system. Law no. 263/2010 stipulated a standard retirement age of 65 for men and 63 for women.
Moreover, the president promulgated the law on ratification of the resolution of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC), adopted by the 14th session of the ASP to the Rome Statute of ICC (14/Res.2), on November 26 2015, regarding the article 124 of the International Criminal Court Statute, adopted in Rome on July 17 1998.
