Labour Minister Lia Olguta Vasilescu stated on Friday that the governing programme is ready, with some members of the Government being due to hand over the mandate and prepare the new ministers.
Asked at the end of PSD's National Executive Committee (CExN) meeting, whether amendments to the governing programme were also discussed, Lia Olguta Vasilescu replied: "We have discussed all these days. The governing programme is currently ready. We have to prepare, as of tomorrow, with all those who were ministers, who will continue to be ministers. There are some colleagues who must now hand over their mandate and will have as task to inform the newcomers with everything they have done in their ministries and what exactly was accomplished of the governing programme. But the governing programme is ready."
At the same time, Lia Olguta Vasilescu affirmed that the pension law remains a priority.
"It certainly remains a priority. It is natural that it stays a priority and I hope we come out with it as soon as possible," Vasilescu further said.
On the other hand, asked why the need for four deputy prime-ministers in Dancila's Cabinet, Lia Olguta Vasilescu replied: "It was considered that we need strengthening of our foreign relations and I believe it is a good idea."
She referred to the fact that deputy premier Ana Birchall (PSD), alongside deputy prime ministers Paul Stanescu (PSD), Gratiela Gavrilescu (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats - ALDE) and Viorel Stefan (PSD) - without portfolio, will be part of the future Government.
