Ciprian Ciucu, the National Liberal Party candidate, obtained 35.12% of the votes in the local by-elections held on Sunday for the position of general mayor of Bucharest, according to the data published in real time on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority after the centralisation of 1,039 minutes out of a total of 1,289 polling stations, meaning 80.61%.
Ranked on the following positions there are:
Anca Alexandrescu (the 'Justice for Bucharest' electoral alliance) - 22.65%
Daniel Baluta (the Social Democratic Party) - 20.88%
Catalin Drula (Save Romania Union) - 13.79%
Ana Ciceala (SENS) - 5.87%
Eugen Orlando Teodorovici (independent) - 0.28%
George Valentin Burcea (POT) - 0.21%
Gheorghe Netoiu (independent) - 0.19%.
