The Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Stefan-Radu Oprea, at the end of the 10th session of the Romania-Bavaria Joint Governmental Commission stated the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, while further developing and diversifying collaboration between the two parties, according to a press release of the Ministry sent to AGERPRES on Saturday.
At the same time, the Romanian dignitary voiced his appreciation for the close collaboration with the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), which is, at the same time, the representative of the federal state of Bavaria in Romania. The expertise of the German side in the assistance given to companies that intend to invest in Romania, but also in the expansion of bilateral economic relations, was also appreciated.
During the session, issues of major interest to both sides were discussed, key areas for the expansion of cooperation were identified and concrete projects were established to help with the further deepening and strengthening of the bilateral dialogue, especially in economic terms, but also in education, culture, environmental issues and consumer protection, etc.
At the same time, on the occasion of his presence in Bavaria, Minister Stefan-Radu Oprea visited, together with the Ambassador of Romania in Berlin, Adriana Stanescu, and the general manager of Romarm, Emanuel Ioana, the companies Diehl Defense and Knauf, both of which have real development potential in Romania, with projects already underway in Brasov and Tarnaveni.
The session was concluded by signing a Protocol, a document in which the development of several joint projects at the governmental level was agreed. Minister Stefan-Radu Oprea thanked the organizers for their efforts and congratulated the exemplary manner in which the Joint Commission was conducted. He expressed confidence that the success of this meeting will contribute to the development and diversification of commercial and investment exchanges, as well as Romanian-Bavarian cooperation in all fields.
