A building with an area of ??150 square meters was affected by the fire that broke out on Wednesday at an ammunition depot in the town of Mija, and components for 150 PG-7VM projectiles were burned, with a price of approximately 70 euros per component, the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT) announced.
According to initial information, the fire was completely extinguished, with no casualties. ISU crews from the Targoviste Fire Department are still on scene, agerpres reports.
"Following preliminary checks, it was found that component parts for 150 PG-7VM projectiles, priced at approximately 70 euros per component, had burned. Also, a building with an area of approximately 150 square meters was affected by the fire. Currently, the exact cause of the fire is not known. Investigations are ongoing," the quoted source said.
A fire at an ammunition depot in Mija was reported on Wednesday, and by the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the fire was out, with 25 people evacuated.
