The chairwoman of the Divers Association, Maria Korek, declared on Thursday, in a press conference, that 39 non-governmental organizations are participating in the 22nd edition of the NGO Fair that will take place in Targu Mures, on May 10, for some it will be a premiere.

"We have reached the 22nd edition of the NGO Fair (...). This year we have 39 organizations registered for the fair, three of which will not be present with a tent in the Rose Square, the rest will (...). More organizations came than last year and they cover pretty much everything, including a little culture, the most problematic sphere. We also have sports, so we will have basketball and there are other associations that will have a few activities. The social aspect is also significant, also in education and for youth. The Students' League, for example, is another student organization that is a newcomer, and in animal protection we have three organizations. So it will be interesting. We have more organizers this year because the Suryam Association has also joined, which has assumed the responsibility of accessing financing and through this we will be able to organize the fair in a more decent form than in previous years. past," said Maria Korek.

The chairwoman of the Divers Association pointed out that the NGO Fair was previously organized with zero funding, but that this edition managed to obtain funding, and a number of foundations contributed by organizing the NGO cross-country race, such as the Alpha Transilvana Foundation, or by hosting the event on the website, as the Mures Community Foundation did.

The president of the Suryam Association and the coordinator of MuresHub, Marius Dumitrescu, showed that starting this year he became a co-organizer of the NGO Fair, and on this occasion the "Neighbors, not strangers!" campaign will be launched, more than 1,170 days after the start of the war in Ukraine, an initiative aimed at promoting empathy, solidarity and understanding between people.

"It is a campaign that wants us to realize, at this moment, that in our community in Târgu Mureş, but also in Mureş county, there are many people of other nationality, I mean other nations, other than Romanians, Hungarians and Roma. They are those who fled from a war or due to precarious conditions in underdeveloped countries and are here to work. The fact that we don't see them very often, that doesn't mean that they don't exist. The fact that we don't see them is a reason. Usually, it's not about the classic comfort, it's about the discomfort that society creates and, unfortunately, I have noticed several situations of bullying (...). I strongly believe that it is a gain for our society that these people are with us, we can learn from them and always, if we "and we forget statistics, all that migration's effect on societies means is one of cultural and, obviously, economic enrichment," declared Marius Dumitrescu.

He said that the presence of Ukrainian refugees, for example, only attracted funds and brought in money with their arrival.

"The projects we wrote meant funding, money that was spent in Mures County. Otherwise it wouldn't have been spent. Plus, people have jobs, they pay taxes and as such, what we want is, on the one hand, an awareness campaign, but it's also an exercise at our stand. Everyone will be able to read. On this occasion, we are launching a series of nine stories. They are stories somehow transcribed in a language for children, but in fact the theme is as real as possible. Maybe you will understand better by reading such a story what happened to these people in Targu Mures. So they are absolutely real stories and that were just somehow cosmeticized to protect the people, but, first of all, to understand more clearly what the problem is. I care very much about this collection of stories, it's called "'Untold Stories' and I've been emotional ever since I launched such stories, because un
