An event dedicated to the National Day of Romania was organised, on Wednesday evening, in New Delhi, by PNL (National Liberal Party) senator Cristian-Augustin Niculescu-Tagarlas in collaboration with the Romanian Embassy in India.
The evening brought together the Romanian community, numerous high-ranking guests, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the academic and cultural environment. The National Folk Ensemble "Transilvania" from Baia Mare participated, as well as artist Iulia Vantur, who is well known in India for her role as a promoter of Romanian culture.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, the "Transilvania" Ensemble offered an authentic show typical for the Maramures region, bringing Romanian traditions, songs and joy in front of one of the oldest civilisations in the world.
The event represented a solid platform for dialogue between Romania and India, contributing to the strengthening of bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest, from culture and education to diplomatic cooperation and interpersonal exchanges. Through such moments, Romania strengthens its presence in the region and affirms its identity in an authentic and professional way, the press release also emphasises.
