A NATO multinational exercise is taking place, from Monday to Saturday, in Alba Iulia, as the population is being warned that there will be shooting and destruction with real explosive material in the Micesti polygon.
According to a public information posted on Monday, on the local administration's Facebook page, the Alba Iulia City Hall informs that, between July 21-26, a Multinational Exercise is taking place, carried out jointly with military structures of some NATO member states.
The training activities will take place in the facilities of the military unit in Alba Iulia, namely in the Micesti shooting range, the Deal Mamut training ground, the military equipment park and in the administrative headquarters.
"In order to avoid the emergence of rumors, speculations or reasons for concern among citizens, we inform you that travel between the mentioned locations will be organized in such a way as not to affect the normal development of road traffic and other activities of the population. At the same time, in order to eliminate the risk of accidents, we inform you that during the period 22 - 24 July 2025, in the Micesti garrison firing range, shooting and destruction with real explosive material will be carried out. During this period, public access is strictly prohibited on the access roads to the range, as well as those in its vicinity," the aforementioned public information states.
