Transport minister Sorin Grindeanu said on Tuesday in southern Prahova county that the 1,000 km motorway target will be reached next week, as the Nusfalau - Suplacu de Barcau northwestern section of the Transylvania Motorway will be opened.
"By the end of next year, at least 250 km of motorway [will be put into service - editor's note]. I believe that next week we will reach the 1,000 km mile mark, because the section from Nusfalau to Suplacu de Barcau on the Transylvania Motorway is being put into service, and we will reach that 1,000 km mark," Grindeanu said, agerpres reports.
Sorin Grindeanu added that,"not a single euro" has been lost in the transport area under the 2.1 billion euro reduction from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, because "all projects still have financial coverage from European funds on other types of financing".
