President Nicusor Dan announced on Wednesday that the report on the cancellation of the 2024 presidential election will most likely be released at the end of January next year.
"What is certain is that our awareness of this disinformation and manipulation campaign orchestrated by Russia has changed. I, as a politician and a reasonably well informed person, can honestly tell you that, before December 6 last year, this seemed to me an entirely peripheral issue, but we realized that it was not. So, I believe that this is something that we have learned as a society. From that moment onward, and from the doubts that such a decision inevitably raised among Romanians and our partners regarding the viability of our democracy, I am convinced that sufficient information has since emerged to explain that decision," the head of the state said in a statement to the press.
