"The fact that Smart Diaspora 205 is hosted this year in Cluj underlines the status of our city not only as a leading academic center, but also the huge potential we have in terms of international scientific research and innovation networks. Our university has assumed the role of coordinator of the event in Cluj, which represents a great responsibility, but, certainly, the event would not have been complete without the participation of all UUC member universities and certainly would not have been possible without the support of the Ministry of Education and Research and UEFISCDI", the rector of UBB, Professor Adrian Petrusel Phd, was quoted in the press release,.
The cited source also informs that the "Smart Diaspora" event has brought together, in the editions so far, over 4,000 participants, highlighting the special importance that Romania attaches to science, technology and innovation for the development of the knowledge society, for economic and social progress, and the role of the diaspora and international academic collaborations.
