The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) said that, at present, the occupancy rate of the accommodation centers of the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) is 75.6%, and over 8,000 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania in the last 24 hours.
"Regarding traffic through border crossing points, the quoted source mentions that 18,433 means of transportation and 59,829 people have entered our country, including 8,650 Ukrainian citizens," according to a press release by MAE to AGERPRES on Thursday, Agerpres.ro informs.
According to the quoted source, no Ukrainian citizen has applied for asylum in Romania, in the last 24 hours, and since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine 4,328 Ukrainian citizens have requested asylum in our country.
At this moment, occupancy rate in IGI centers is 75.6%.
