Nine people nominated for positions of Romania's ambassadors abroad will be heard on Wednesday, starting at 11.30 am, in the joint parliamentary committees for foreign policy and for the Romanian communities abroad, according to AGERPRES.
The hearing, which was supposed to take place on November 18, 2020, got postponed because of a lack of quorum, which didn't allow for the programme of the committees to be approved by the Standing Bureau of the Senate.
Nineta Barbulescu - nominated for ambassador to Malaysia, Dan Balanescu - Indonesia and East Timor, Brandusa Predescu for Bulgaria and Daniela Laura Popescu - Great Britain - will be heard on Wednesday.
Parliamentary hearings also target Cristian Istrate - the proposed ambassador to the Russian Federation, Daniela Sezonov-Tane - India, Maldives, Bangladesh and Nepal, and Dan Mihalache for Cyprus.
Razvan Rotundu - proposed ambassador to Georgia and Bogdan Manoiu - in Canada will also be heard.
