The Paroseni Thermal Power Plant (PP), within the Valea Jiului Energy Complex (CEVJ), is ready to start up to ensure an additional 120 MW of electricity in the National Energy System, if this is requested by the National Energy Dispatcher, the management of the CEVJ announced on Thursday, at the request of AGERPRES.
"There is a possibility of starting up if the group receives offers on the balancing market and at the request of the National Energy Dispatcher. At the moment, the electrical power of group 4 at the Paroseni Power Plant is 120 MW," CEVJ informs.
The complex's specialists mentioned that starting up the installations "from a cold state" can be done in about 10-12 hours, in accordance with the imposed technical procedures.
Currently, the coal stock in the electricity producer's storage amounts to 100,626 tons.
"Currently, the coal stock is 100,626 tons. The daily coal consumption of group 4 of Paroseni is 1,500-2,200 tons/day, depending on the electrical power at which it is scheduled to operate", the cited source also informs.
CEVJ is formed by the Lupeni, Livezeni, Lonea and Vulcan coal mines and the Paroseni thermal power plant.
