Prime Minister Mihai Tudose pointed out at Parliament on Thursday that he drew up a personal point of view when he referred to the fact that he doesn't support the draft law on the Royal House legal status, arguing that Elisabeta Palce should return to the administration and property of the Romanian state after King Mihai's death.
"I made a statement in a personal capacity, I believe that that Palace [Elisabeta Palace], in a personal capacity, I reiterate, should return to the Romanian state, as the Royal House has estates returned by the state," Mihai Tudose said, in reply to the journalists at the Parliament Palace when exiting the joint plenary session of the two Chambers, where he attended the solemn meeting devoted to the celebration of 28 years since the 1989 Revolution.
On the same topic, Chamber of Deputies Speaker Liviu Dragnea, who was next to Mihai Tudose, said: "Tomorrow [on Friday] we have a coalition meeting, we'll discuss it tomorrow." The coalition meeting would take place at Parliament around 11:00. The draft on regulating the legal status of the Royal House was filed with Parliament by Senate President Calin Popescu Tariceanu and Chamber of Deputies Speaker Liviu Dragnea, on November 7.
