Prime Minister Mihai Tudose on Tuesday stated that during the talks he had with President Klaus Iohannis he asked the head of state if he was willing to sign the papers, referring thus to the latter's public statements regarding the government reshuffle. "I wanted to meet President Iohannis, in order to ask him if he is willing, or this week, to sign the papers; that was the first thing and, secondly, I needed to discuss about an information related to what happened in Varna, given that he is still the country's representative for foreign political affairs," Tudose specified at the PSD headquarters.

The head of the Executive replied thus to an inquiry into the motive for his discussion with President Iohannis before meeting the PSD leader, Liviu Dragnea. He also added that he established together with Liviu Dragnea to initiate a government reshuffle. "(...) We established together the reshuffle-reshuffled persons area. But we will not make you happy right now with giving you the names and proposals, and portfolios, but only after the CExN" the head of the Government told the journalists.

A decision regarding the PSD-Government relations, and also one referring to the list of ministers to be targeted by the reshuffle will be taken by the National Executive Committee of PSD, Prime Minister Mihai Tudose and PSD leader Liviu Dragnea announced.
