PM Tudose to begin visit to Brussels with a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk

Prime Minister Mihai Tudose will begin on Tuesday his visit to Brussels with a meeting with European Council President Donald Tusk.

Mihai Tudose's meeting with Donald Tusk is scheduled around noon and will be followed by a meeting of the Romanian PM with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Commission First Vice-President Frans Timmermans.

On Tuesday after-noon, Tudose will also meeting Corina Cretu, European Commissioner for Regional Policy.

PM Tudose's visit to Brussels will end on Tuesday evening with a meeting with European Parliament President Antonio Tajani.

According to the Government, during his first foreign visit as head of the Executive, Mihai Tudose will will send the message that Romania is a serious partner in the European Union, which will observe all assumed commitments.

At the same time, he will present the priorities of the current Government, with a focus on the economic topics, as well as Romania's stand on EU's future, the preparation for taking over the Council of the EU presidency and improving the EU funds absorption.

The delegation headed by the PM also includes Minister-delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu.
