President Nicusor Dan maintains that his absence from the World Economic Forum in Davos, held this week in Switzerland, does not jeopardise Romania's defence strategies.
He said in Focsani, where he attended events dedicated to the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities, that 'diplomatic activity is not limited to a day, an hour, in a specific location.'
'Romania has numerous defence strategies, it has a National Defence Strategy, it has military defence plans that are aligned with NATO plans. Discussions on security take place on numerous levels, at the level of defence ministers and national security advisers. Diplomatic activity is not limited to a day, an hour, in a specific location,' the head of state said.
