I am convinced that if you put into practice the skills acquired here you will succeed in making a difference with regard to how tomorrow's Romania will look like," President Iohannis said at the event dedicated to the Greater Union Centennial and the 205th anniversary since the establishment of the first engineering class in Romanian that took place in the "Carmen Sylva" Aula Magna of the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University in Iasi.

"There is an increased demand for graduates of technical universities in almost all branches of the economy. I hope the graduates of your institutions will have the opportunity to participate in the development of the road infrastructure, railway, energy and agricultural that the country's North-East regions so badly need, in order to swiftly reduce the gaps accumulated, unfortunately, especially in the last decades," Iohannis further said.
