President Klaus Iohannis sent on Thursday a message of condolences to the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, following the armed attack in Lewiston, Maine.
"On behalf of the Romanian citizens and myself, I send you my deepest condolences for the loss of so many innocent lives in the brutal armed attack in Lewiston, Maine. In these times of sadness and pain, Romania stands in solidarity with the American citizens and with the families of the victims, to whom we convey our thoughts of compassion. We wish, at the same time, a speedy recovery for those wounded," reads the message of President Klaus Iohannis.
At least 22 people have been killed and dozens more wounded in multiple gun attacks in the northeastern US state of Maine, with the suspect still at large, according to several US media and local authorities, informs AFP.
