President Nicusor Dan on Sunday conveyed a message of condolences to the family of the young Romanian who died following the fire that broke out in Switzerland, in the Crans-Montana resort.
"I held hope until the very last moment for a different outcome, but today we learned, with deep sorrow, of the loss of a young Romanian in the fire in Crans-Montana. I extend my sincere condolences to the grieving family. Romania stands in solidarity with the victims' families, and the state authorities are providing all necessary support during these difficult times," Nicusor Dan wrote in a message posted on the X platform.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specified that, according to information provided by the competent Swiss authorities, a Romanian citizen initially reported missing has died as a result of the fire in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
