The Remember Enescu 2025 International Competition, now in its 22nd edition, brings together young performers in a tribute dedicated to maestro George Enescu, between September 15-19, at the National University of Music in Bucharest.

The event is organized by the "Remember Enescu" Cultural Foundation, led by professor Mihaela Tomescu, and has the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute.

"Musicians aged between 7 and 24 from Romania, Germany, Austria, China, America and the Republic of Moldova will compete in four prestigious sections: violin, piano, singing and composition, having the unique opportunity to perform both the universal classical repertoire and the masterpieces signed by George Enescu. The awards gala will take place on September 19," a press release from the ICR, sent to AGERPRES on Friday, states.

The jury of the Violin Section is composed of: Alexandru Tomescu, soloist of the National Radio Orchestra, Diana Moş, rector of the National University of Music Bucharest, and Alexandre Brussilovsky, professor at the Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris.

The jury of the Piano Section includes: Vlad Dimulescu, director of the Department of Keyboard Instruments and Chamber Music at the National University of Music in Bucharest; Mirella Petrova, professor at the Carl Maria von Weber College, Dresden, and Andrei Enoiu-Pânzariu, associate professor at the George Enescu National University of Arts - Iasi.

The jury of the Solo and Duet Singing Section is composed of: Nelly Miricioiu, lyric artist and professor; soprano Iulia Isaev, associate professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest; and mezzo-soprano Claudia Codreanu, associate professor at the same university.

The jury of the Composition Section is made up of: composer Dan Dediu, professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest; composer Adina Sibianu, project coordinator at the George Enescu National Museum; and composer Wen Dequing, professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

On September 18, the singing section competitors will participate in masterclass sessions offered by Nelly Miriociu and Mirella Petrova.

The Remember Enescu International Competition is a launching platform for young artists, an opportunity for international networking and a moment to celebrate global cultural diversity through the universal language of music.

Since 1999, the "Remember Enescu" Cultural Foundation has been keeping alive the memory of the greatest Romanian composer and building bridges between generations, offering young musicians the chance to discover their true artistic potential.
