Romania men's national team defeated Ukraine 33-30 (20-9), on Friday evening, on the first day of the Carpathian Niro Trophy, hosted by Baia Mare.
The team coached by George Buricea had two diametrically opposed halves, the first very good, ending with an advantage of 11 goals, in order to finally win by a difference of three goals, 33-30.
In the first match of the day, Georgia defeated Slovakia 31-28.
Ukraine - Slovakia (14:30) and Romania - Georgia (17:30) will take place on Saturday.
