The Digital Governance Summit 2025 brings together, on Tuesday, for the first time, at the Cotroceni Palace, international leaders who have contributed to the digital transformation of public administrations in other states, as well as Romanian decision-makers who can continue this change in Romania.

The event, held under the High Patronage of the President of Romania, will be attended by president Nicusor Dan, MEP Nicu Stefanuta, deputy PM Oana Gheorghiu, the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Mihai Jurca, among others, agerpres reports.

International guests include: Toomas Hendrik Ilves, former president of Estonia and architect of one of the most successful digital state models in the world, as well as Janusz Cieszynski, former minister of digitalisation in Poland, who coordinated the transition to modern electronic public services, focused on the needs of citizens.

Also, the ministers of economy, digitalisation, entrepreneurship and tourism, Radu Miruta, investments and European projects, Dragos Pislaru, and finance, Alexandru Nazare will join the discussions dedicated to the role of digitalisation in increasing economic competitiveness and strengthening institutional trust.

According to the organizers, the Cotroceni Summit is not just a conference, but a call for collective responsibility between the state, the private sector, academia and civil society given that the digitalisation of the administration does not mean only technology, but the state's capacity to respond effectively to the needs of citizens.

The event will also launch the Edge Institute x AtlasIntel Study, which shows what Romanians think about the digitalisation of the state: where they put their trust, what are their priorities and what they expect from the digital administration of the future.
