Romanian startup Frisbo, which runs an e-fulfillment platform for the collection, packing and delivery of online orders, announces the expansion of its operations to the UK, Spain, Italy and Austria in the first months of this year, thus facilitating the logistics of European online stores that want to sell on these markets, the company said in a statement on Monday.
For the current year, Frisbo aims to expand its operations in the Benelux, Estonia, Lithuania and Finland and expects to double its turnover. Frisbo currently operates 25 warehouses located in Great Britain, Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and Chile, serving over 200 online merchants and integrating with the most popular e-commerce platforms and marketplaces in the region.
Frisbo also offers online stores the possibility to scale their business internationally, allowing them to develop in other markets through an integrated network of halls, as well as through the possibility of next-day deliveries in 24 European countries so far.
"Our target for this year is to open up access to more markets and offer our customers the possibility to expand into countries outside the European Union, starting with the UK. Thus, most likely by the end of 2022, we will operate in almost all of Europe," said Frisbo founder Bogdan Colceriu.
According to the company, the number of customers increased by 70 percent in 2021 and is expected to considerably grow this year too, driven by the expansion into new markets.
Frisbo is a smart e-fulfillment platform launched in 2014, focusing on developing at European and then at global level a new standard for distributed, algorithmic order processing, helping to improve the e-commerce market by supporting and facilitating the cross-border expansion of online stores.
