National leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Marcel Ciolacu says that, at a meeting of the Party of European Socialists (PES) leaders on Thursday in Brussels, he talked about the strong message sent by Romanians for a more united European Union that respects all its citizens.
"I discussed today at the meeting of the Party of European Socialists (PES) in Brussels with European heads of state or government the strong message sent by Romanians for a more united European Union that respects all its citizens. Our European political family is to be much better represented in the future leadership of the EU and we will continue to make all the necessary efforts so that Romania's voice is heard," Ciolacu wrote on Thursday in a social media post.
He added that within PES, Romania's PSD is "a respected and influential party", capable of representing the interests of Romanians with strength and professionalism.
Ciolacu on Thursday in Brussels participated in a PES meeting of the heads of state or government in preparation for the Council of the European Union as the incumbent Romanian prime minister.
