Romania's men's eight (BM8+) crew on Thursday progressed to the semifinals of the race at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Poznan, Poland, after finishing third in the second heat.
Romania (Costi-Daniel Neagoe, Fabrizio-Alexandru Scripcariu, Antonel Avacaritei, Marian Stefan Dunca, Nicolae Razvan Stoian, Sebastian Alexandru Tasca, Cosmin Iulian Plesescu, Stefan Bogdan Moales, Maria-Antonia Iancu) clocked in at 5:30.64, behind Great Britain (05:28.05) and New Zealand (05:30.64).
In the women's quadruple sculls (BW4X), Romania (Iuliana Isabela Boldea, Ana-Maria Matran, Delia Mirabela Gradinaciuc, Georgelia Stoica) will compete in Final B after finishing fourth in the second heat (06:40.33).
Romania's men's quadruple sculls (BM4X) - Bogdan Murariu, Constantin Emanuele Sterea, Andrei-Petrisor Axintoi, Andrei Hemen - will compete in Final C, after finishing fourth in the second heat (05:55.80).
