Stock Exchange opens Wednesday's trading session with gains across most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday's trading session with gains across most indices, while the turnover amounted to 7.31 million lei (approximately 1.44 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.57%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, was up 0.54%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 0.50%, and the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, appreciated 0.38%.

The BET-FI index, which reflects the performance of the five Financial Investment Companies (SIFs), posted a slight decline of 0.07%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, advanced 0.84%.

The BET AeRO index, comprising 20 representative companies listed on the AeRO market, was down 0.19%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share value were recorded by Aeta (+2.46%), Rompetrol Rafinare (+2.35%) and Compa (+1.89%).

On the other hand, shares in Carbochim (-4.93%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-4.55%) and Infinity Capital Investments (-0.99%) were trading lower.
