Romanian tennis player Victor Cornea on Wednesday qualified for the quarterfinals of the doubles event of the challenger tournament in Bonn (Germany), with total prizes of 91,250 euros.
Cornea and Spaniard Sergio Martos Gornes advanced to the first round of doubles against Czechs Jiri Barnat/Filip Duda, 6-7 (5/7), 6-4, 12-10, after one hour and 51 minutes of playing.
The Romanian-Spanish pair won a cheque of 920 euros and 16 ATP points in doubles, and in the quarterfinals they will play against Kazakhs Dmitri Popko/Denis Evseev.
