The HUMANS, Teodora Dinu and Dora Gaitanovici on Sunday evening qualified for the Eurovision Romania final contest, to take place on February 25, following the 5th semifinals that were held in Sighisoara.

After listening to the 12 pieces, the jury decided to grant 58 points to The HUMANS, for their song "Goodbye" (composers Alin Neagoe, Cristina Caramarcu, Matei Alexandru Mihai), 50 points to Teodora Dinu, for the song "Fly," (composers Thomas Reil, Jeppe Reil, Udo Mechels, Maria Brobeg) and 42 points to Dora Gaitanovici, for her song "Without you" (music and voice Dora Gaitanovici).

On Sunday evening, in Sighisoara, counting for the 5th and the last of the semifinals organized in the country, there were presented 12 compositions out of the 60 who represented the National Selection for Eurovision Romania.

Competing on the "Mihai Eminescu" stage were SAVE ("All We Need"), Tomher Cohen ("Baby You're The Only One"), Sergiu Bolota ("Every Little Thing"), Dora Gaitanovici ("Fara Tine"), Teodora Dinu ("Fly"), The HUMANS ("Goodbye"), Iliana ("I Won't Lie"), Evermorph ("Live Your Life"), Alexandru Ungureanu ("Sail With Me"), Manuel Chivari ("Somebody To Love"), Maria Suciu ("Sweet Nothing") and Denisa Trofin ("Tears").

The last of the five semifinals took place on the stage where, almost 90 years ago, composer George Enescu himself had a concert, which was a true record, for this was the smallest stage where the Eurovision event was organized in Romania so far. Therefore, in order to mask the small dimensions of the stage, the organisers, the Romanian Television team, flooded the stage with lights and light vectors, with more than 100 sq m of LED screens mounted and 380 sq m of LED curtains, which gave the impression of space.

The show was opened by Ordinul Paladinilor de Terra Medies, alongside the drummer of the Medieval Citadel Sighisoara.

The show was presented by Diana Dumitrescu and Cezar Ouatu, with Simona Boanta, a journalist from TVR Targu Muresu, accompanying the competitors in the Green Room, wherefrom she found out what were their thoughts after their performances on the stage.

The moment when the jury withdrew in order to decide who was going to go further in the competition, the Directia 5 music band had an extraordinary recital on a stage in Cetatii Square.

The organizers showed that, this year, the National Selection had the slogan "Eurovision united Romania!" and, for the first time, no less then 60 songs participated in the competition, 12 in each of the five semifinals.
