Three-month interbank offered rate hits 3.37 pct, a high since March 2014

Romania's three-month interbank offered rate ROBOR, which serves as benchmark for floating-rate loans in lei, climbed 0.02 percentage points on Wednesday to 3.37 percent per annum, announced the National Bank of Romania. 

An equal ROBOR on record was registered on March 5, 2014. 

According to central bank data, early this year the three-month ROBOR was 2.05 percent, whereas one year ago, on July 18, 2017, it was 0.87 percent. 

The 6-month ROBOR that is used for pricing mortgage loans remained in line with Tuesday's value at 3.48 percent, while the nine-month ROBOR - a measure of what banks charge each other for loans - was flat at 3.52 percent. The 12-month ROBOR advanced 0.01 percentage points to 3.57 percent.
