The trail runner Madalina Florea, from Sighisoara, who managed to win the silver medal a day ago at the Mont-Blanc Marathon, her first race this year in the Golden Trail World Series, says that the most beautiful memories are created when people exceed their limits.
"The most beautiful memories are created when we exceed our limits! Marathon du Mont-Blanc: I am incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to successfully represent my country and my city in this impressive competition. Yesterday's experiences were indescribable - 4 hours and 13 minutes in which I went from agony to ecstasy, feeling every step and every breath. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every message of encouragement and support. A special thank you goes to my family, my coach, my close friends and sponsors who are always by my side, offering me the best conditions to be able to perform at the highest level," Madalina Florea posted on Facebook on Monday.
The Mont-Blanc Marathon within the Golden Trail World Series measured a distance of 42 kilometers and a difference in level of 2,540 meters.
According to the official page of the Marathon du Mont-Blanc, in the women's category, the gold medal was won by Judith Wyder (with a time of 4 h 11'12"), followed by Madalina Florea (4 h 13'42") and the medal silver was won by Miao Yao (4 h18' 30'').
