Tristan Tate, brother of influencer Andrew Tate, has been indicted by the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) alongside an accomplice, Georgiana Manuela Naghel, on charges of assaulting a young woman who refused to continue producing pornographic content.
Tristan Tate is charged with instigation to assault, while Georgiana Manuela Naghel faces charges of illegal access to an IT system, data integrity interference, and assault.
According to DIICOT, the case was severed from another file in which the Tate brothers and two accomplices - Alexandra-Luana Radu and Georgiana Manuela Naghel - are investigated for human trafficking, rape, illegal access to an IT system, and assault.
DIICOT said in a statement that on June 18, 2026, prosecutors sent to trial a 37-year-old British man and a 34-year-old Romanian woman for instigation to assault and, respectively, illegal IT access, data alteration, and assault.
According to the prosecutors, in October 2021, Naghel unlawfully accessed a password-protected device belonging to a trafficking victim and posted compromising material on the victim's social media account as an act of revenge.
They also allege that, in the same period, after the victim refused to continue producing pornographic content and asked to leave a property in Ilfov County, Naghel assaulted her at Tristan Tate's incitement.
The case will be heard by the Ilfov Tribunal.
Andrew and Tristan Tate - both British-American citizens - were previously indicted by DIICOT on June 20, 2023 for forming an organised criminal group, human trafficking, rape, illegal IT access and assault. Prosecutors said the brothers recruited dozens of young women using the loverboy method and coerced them into producing pornographic content for profit.
In December 2024, the indictment was annulled in court and the case was returned to DIICOT for further investigation.
Prosecutors are now reworking the file and have brought new charges against Andrew Tate: human trafficking, money laundering, and incitement to hatred or discrimination.
