The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs that, according to the information sent by the Spanish authorities, two other Romanian citizens initially reported as missing following the floods in Valencia have been identified as deceased.

According to the Romanian Ministry, until now, as a result of the meteorological phenomena that affected the Kingdom of Spain, four Romanian citizens have died and seven Romanian citizens are still missing.
The Embassy of Romania in Madrid and the Consulate of Romania in Castellon de la Plana continued to verify the information regarding the death of some Romanian citizens, victims of the recent meteorological phenomena that affected the Valencian Community, but until this moment no confirmations have been received from the Spanish authorities.
The representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana continued the dialogue with the Romanian citizens, including family members, who reported the missing persons, and remain ready to provide consular assistance, depending on the requests, the source mentioned.
Also, the Logistics Center for providing assistance and protection for the benefit of Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena remains operational and operates from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 17:00 and Saturday-Sunday, between 10:00 and 15.00, at No. 12 Plaza del Alfonso el Magnanimo, Valencia.
The representatives of the diplomatic mission and the consular office remain in permanent contact with the competent Spanish authorities regarding the Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena.
