The coalition formed on Wednesday at the Palace of the Parliament aims to ensure political stability, continuity on the European path and, at the same time, to isolate those with extremist ideologies, the president of the UDMR Kelemen Hunor told AGERPRES.
"Today, after the parliamentary elections, a broad coalition was formed from PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR and the minority group. This represents a consistent majority, with the aim of ensuring a further European path for Romania, to ensure political stability and to isolate those who are against these principles and ideals and are considered extremist, unsuitable for Romanian society. Of course, today's resolution also means support for Elena Lasconi from all the signatories, that is, PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR and the group of national minorities and a recommendation for a rational and a fair vote", emphasized the UDMR president.
According to him, it is gladdening that no party wants to associate with AUR and SOS.
The UDMR leader mentioned that the discussions would continue, but Wednesday's resolution was important to send a message to society: "The discussions will continue, but today's resolution was important to send a message to society from these political forces".
