"We are facing a lack of necessary transparency in the Rosia Montana file, which could lead to suspicions of tergiversation on behalf of the Government, That's why, we ask you to offer us information related to the status of this file and the activities and actions taken by the relevant ministries in eliminating every suspicion related to this matter," specified the signatories of the release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.

According to the abovementioned source, the initiative to propose Rosia Montana on the World Patrimony list came after a request of "tens of thousands, who voiced this desire through street manifestations and petitions, with Romania managing to answer in a professional and exemplary manner so far to all the deadlines this procedure involved up to now."
