National leader of the opposition Save Romania Union (USR) Dan Barna has announced he will be meeting officials of the European Parliament, the European Commission and the EU Council to also discuss "assault on justice legislation" mounted by the ruling coalition of the Social Democratic Party and the Alliance of Democrats and Liberals (ALDE), while also reconfirming USR's firm attachment to respect for European values.
The USR leader mentioned justice legislation was the subject of a debate in the European Parliament, with the European leaders having issued PSD's national leader Liviu Dragnea warning signals.
