The State, Parliament, civil society must "bravely" take any measure to stop car accidents resulting in the loss of human lives caused by the consumption of alcohol and drugs behind the steering wheel, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Monday at the Victoria Palace, at the "Anastasia Law. The Road to Life" debate, organized in the context of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
"This is where we are: innocent children are dying on our roads. This is the truth. We are in first place in Europe. Yes, for 10 years you no longer have the right to drive. Yes, let your car be confiscated, let the parent know not to lend you the car or to a colleague until they make sure that you don't get behind the steering wheel drugged, drunk or without a license," Ciolacu said, agerpres reports.
The initiator of the Anastasia Law, senator Robert Cazanciuc, members of the government, representatives of associations of road accident victims and companies and organizations in the field of transport and trade that support public campaigns on road safety also participated in the event at the Victoria Palace.
