The White Night of Galleries will take place between 3 and 5 October, in spaces dedicated to contemporary art in Bucharest and 16 other cities across the country.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, for the 19th consecutive year, NAG 2025 will light up the night map with over 200 projects in galleries, alternative spaces, creative hubs, and artists' studios in: Bucharest, Alba Iulia, Arad, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Galati, Hunedoara, Iasi, Medias, Ramnicu Valcea, Resita, Sfantu Gheorghe, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Timisoara and the Jiu Valley (Petrila and Petrosani).

This year's edition centres around the NAG Bucharest focus exhibition, 24 Hour Party People / 2000-2020, open to the public throughout October at Rezidenta9 (32 Ion Luca Caragiale Street). The exhibition is a tribute to those whose presence and energy helped shape the contemporary cultural scene in Bucharest over the last two decades.

Moreover, the entire month of October unfolds as a 24-hour loop experienced in slow motion and remixed in real time: exhibition openings ending at midnight, community parties with clothes swaps and DJ sets, workshops that rewrite the city through collective artisanal publications, discussions about the origins of hipster culture, fragile friendships, and scenes sprawling onto the pavement.

'The project doesn't invite a nostalgic flipping through an old photo album, but is a visual exercise meant to remind us all that good times pass, but so do the bad ones. It's an alternative form of re-enactment of lived moments, when day and night were an eternal loop of events, when we were never alone,' said Suzana Dan, founder of NAG, as quoted in the release.

The official visiting hours for NAG are between 18:00 and 00:00 on 3 and 4 October, and between 16:00 and 22:00 on 5 October. Entry is free. For the specific programme of each venue, details are available at www.noapteagaleriilor.ro, on the event pages dedicated to each city, and on NAG's Facebook and Instagram pages.

The White Night of Galleries remains the longest-running event dedicated to Romania's creative community. Since 2016, marking its tenth edition, NAG has expanded nationally and is now organised through a strong network of local coordinators in various cities across the country. Organised by the Ephemair Association, NAG builds bridges between the artistic community and the general public, bringing both visible art and underground zones to the forefront, which define the dynamic of the contemporary scene.
