The National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF) launches on Friday the third edition of the "Marathon for Entrepreneurship Education," an initiative that sets ideas in motion, connects people and creates perspectives, the largest national programme that puts high school students at the centre of transformation.
After the first two editions, the "Marathon for Entrepreneurship Education" has become the largest business plan competition dedicated to high school students in Romania - a true initiatory journey for young people, about self-discovery, about the courage to follow an authentic path, about identifying their vocation, guided by teachers and volunteer mentors, who offer them real support in choosing their future career in which they will capitalize on their acquired skills.
In the first edition, 2023-2024: over 5,000 students participated in practical entrepreneurship education sessions, over 500 high school students created projects, supported by 100 coordinating teachers, from 60 schools in 12 counties, 150 entrepreneurs - speakers and jury members.
In the second edition, involvement increased spectacularly - over 15,000 students, from 130 high schools in 20 counties, 150 entrepreneurs and as many teachers, all of which laid the foundations for a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, over 50,000 euros in prizes being offered to the winners.
Confirmed speakers are Dragos Anastasiu, Adina Alberts, Dragos Petrescu, Virgil Iantu and Felix Tataru.
This programme is initiated by the National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF) following the signing of the Pact for Entrepreneurship Education with the Ministry of Education in 2019 and renewed in 2022 for another 4 years.
