In a Facebook post on Tuesday, national leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea addresses President Klaus Iohannis, whom he asks about his opposition to increases in healthcare staff and teachers' pay, given that the president in the morning had some words of praise for an economic growth made possible by the "PSD government," assuring him that PSD will support the pay increases before Parliament and apply them when at rule.
"In a speech this morning, Klaus Iohannis bragged about the economic growth made possible by the PSD governing the country. The highest economic growth in the European Union, he says. And then, Mr President, why are you and the technocratic government opposing the 15-percent pay increases in the public education and healthcare systems? Let me assure you that we will back the pay increases before Parliament and we will apply them when getting in power, because that is the way we translate economic growth to the pockets of the Romanians," reads Dragnea's post.
