The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) informed that, between January 13 and 19, 114 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infections were recorded, a decrease of 29.6% compared to the previous week.
According to INSP, 28 of the new cases were among reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection, Agerpres.
Between January 13 and 19, four deaths were reported among people infected with SARS-CoV-2, all of them having comorbidities.
To date, 69,247 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.
So far, 3,582,407 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Romania.
In the past week, 876 RT-PCR tests and 14,992 rapid antigen tests were performed. The positivity rate was 0.7%.
Up to this point, a total of 14,039,934 RT-PCR tests and 15,184,712 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide.
