Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Wednesday's trading session with trading exceeding 78.6 million lei (15.4 million euros)

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session higher on most indices, with trading exceeding 78.6 million lei (15.4 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, rose by 0.17%, to 28,052.20 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, recorded an increase of 0.19%.

Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, registered an advance of 0.11%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, depreciated by 0.12%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up by 0.38%, and BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, down by 0.21%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, appreciated by 0.14%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling almost 23 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - with 10.3 million lei, and Premier Energy - 4.4 million lei.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of IAR Brasov (+14.67%), Casa de Bucovina-Club de Munte (+11.8%) and Energopetrol (+10.78%).

The most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Electroaparataj (-6.49%), Romcarbon (-4.85%) and Artego (-4.81%).
